Ben There, Dan That/Time Gentlemen, Please!

When the first screen of your point and click adventure game is a hilarious parody of traditional adventure tropes and features overt references to The Secret of Monkey Island and Indiana Jones, is there any way that I could write a review of your game that doesn’t say, “Buy this game immediately.”?

Oh, that’s right. I can’t.

Run, don’t walk, and buy Ben There, Dan That/Time Gentlemen, Please!, immediately.

Don’t question me. Don’t say, “But the graphics look a little lame and I heard that the sound was only barely passable”. Don’t think that you’ll pick it up once you’re done with Bayonetta, because you and I both know that you won’t. Open up Steam or whichever online game store you prefer, pony up the five bucks for two full adventures, and play Zombiecow‘s love letter to all things adventure games and Lucasarts.

These games are fun, funny, post-modern, and cheap. If you’ve ever played and enjoyed any game in the Lucasarts adventure milieu, you absolutely have to pick up Ben There, Dan That/Time Gentlemen, Please!.
