And what a fantabulous issue it is! I’m not just saying that because I’m now in it. Click on the clips below to view the pages.
I was up much later than I should have been exploring the sixth edition. There are a lot of great stories in this issue, including the winners of the “Lupus Lies” contest. In conjuction with announcing the winner of this contest, my story about the day I met the Love Simple delivery lady was shared.
Plus there are an additional 2 new writers: Ro Molina and Shoyea-Gaye Grant. Shoyea’s story about her road to diagnose brought tears to my eyes. She is so very young yet so extremely brave and positive. It is unsurprising to hear how many overlaps there are between the events that led up to her diagnosis and my own.
And because this month is dedicated to art, there is a wonderful 3 chapter story of the remarkable lupus journey of artist Debra Freeman Highberger.
My book was also featured along with the Lupus Awareness Virtual Art Gallery and its latest drive for submissions.
There is so much more to explore and learn. But hopefully, I’ve given you enough to get you started. To continue your own Lupus journey, check all of the article for this month plus more hot news. And familiarize yourself with the rest of the writers.

‘The Lupus Magazine’ September Issue Is Now Online http://juliasherred.com/2010/08/the-lupu… #Blogin5 #lupus (PLEASE read and RT)
I came here from a link on your facebook. Read your article in the Lupus Magazine. Wanted to leave a comment there, but couldn’t (or couldn’t figure out how). So I left a comment on your facebook wall, then thought I should have shared it here.
Some coincidences are providence. That’s the way I see it. I know it’s not a Technicolor perspective everyone shares. And I don’t mean to shove my personal Christian Mysticism down your throat. But I choose to see those moments of transcendent synchronicity as something truly Divine. There are multitudinous ways that delivery could have been made (by another driver, or someone in a rush and too busy to share), where the subject of Lupus and the moment of sharing wouldn’t happen; but it didn’t happen any of those ways. I like to see not only a Hand of Reason and Order in the Universe, but one of Playfulness and Joy in this kind of sweet happenstance. It’s a blessing. Thanks for the article. Rock on!
Thanks, Russ
(PS There are no ways to comment on the magazine. I belief the editor does all of the coding. He doesn’t use Joomla, WordPress, etc., to run the magazine. I could be wrong there.)
