Phil Plait Interview

On Friday, June 10, 2011, I had the wonderful pleasure of sitting down with Phil Plait (@BadAstronomer) for a live gab session on the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show over at The Look 24/7 (@TheLook247). As always, it was a lot of fun to sit down and have a chat with Phil. He was entertaining, insightful, witty, humorous and nerdy, which is what we want.

I would like to, yet again, thank all of you who tuned-in and asked your questions, plus gave such wonderful feedback about the show. I’m happy that you enjoyed it. If you missed the interview, have no fear. You will find it embedded below. But first, the show notes.

  • During the interview, we talked about the end of the shuttle program and what is next for space exploration; O’Neill Cylinders, Dyson Spheres and space elevators; asteroid impacts, aliens and solar flares; Death From The Skies and Bad Universe; raising children to be critical thinkers; Phil’s space junk, w00tstock and conventions; the antivax movement; we geeked out about science fiction, Star Trek and Doctor Who; plus more.
  • At the beginning of the interview, you will hear the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show Theme Song by Christopher Cogott (@chriscogott).
  • The runtime is: 1 hour 46 minutes and 26 seconds
  • The format is: mp3, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz
  • The size is 97.4 MB
  • To download, ‘right click-save as’ this link. Alternatively, you can stream it below. If you are viewing this in an RSS reader, you’ll need to visit the site in order to stream.

I hope you enjoy!
